Taught a Master's Class
Nevada Wolfpack
The PRS will be released today, and you should see the Pack inside the top 25. Every time I looked at the screen, Nevada was scoring on Cal, a team that had shut down COlorado the previous week. Nevada has stars everywhere on the team, and they should be considered for a BCS bid if the defeat Boise and run the table. Colin Kaepernick should receive Heisman talk, and you'll definately see him on my list of MVP candidates later next week.

Fresno State Bulldogs
History would tell you that a 17 point win over USU is no big deal, but USU is better than they have been in a great while. FSU was supposed to struggle on offense this season, but has found plenty of it in wins over Cincinnati and Utah State. Never count out a Pat Hill coached football team.

Boise State Broncos
Boise State has to be the best non Big 6 conference team, ever. The Broncos play like an NFL team every week, and Wyoming was not in the same universe with Boise. There was no looking ahead to this week's bigger test, against Oregon State.

UTEP Miners
The Miners had a comfortable lead at the half, and then blew the game open with a major charge in the 3rd. Trevor Vittatoe passed for 5 scores, finally having the kind of game that we know that he can have. The Miners still cannot wait to get Donald Buckram back.

Idaho Vandals
This was a great way to come back from the thrashing at the hands of Nebraska. Idaho did not allow UNLV to score until 1:27 left in the 4th. The Vandals allowed 187 yards of offense and just 11 1st downs all night.

Didn't Learn Much
San Jose State Spartans
This is probably the only win that San Jose will get all season, and I picked Southern Utah to win. That almost came true with SUU leading 11-9 going into the 4th.

Failing Grade
Hawaii Rainbow Warriors
The Rainbows had a 10-0 lead at the half, and then completely imploded in the 2nd hald, getting outscored by a 31-3 margin. You have to wonder if the traveling of the last two weeks finally took a toll.

Louisiana Tech Bulldogs
Navy needed a bitch this week to get their offense on track, and Tech became that bitch. The first half looked very good with a 23-16 lead in hand. But then, The Bulldogs inexplicably went away after the half, and Navy blanked the Dogs 21-0 after halftime. You have to wonder what happened?

Utah State Aggies
The Aggies played neck and neck with Fresno, but then the whole thing fell apart, and Fresno went on a run to put the Aggies away. Utah State HC Gary Anderson has improved this team beyond measure, but he has to find a way to teach these kids a way to hold on and win.

New Mexico State Aggies
NMSU is the Aggie team in the WAC that is not close to winning. They have been routed twice in two weeks. However, congrats to new OC Matt Dunbar for finding a passing game for HC DeWayne Walker. Matt Christian has been a pleasant surprise, so maybe better days are ahead. There is just so much left to fix.
