5 Best FCS Matchups-Week 5

Here is our take on the best matchups this week in the FCS. Enjoy these great games!

#8 Delaware at # 3 James Madison
Time: 12:05 (EST)
The Hens are coming off of a big time road win last weekend over Richmond, and now will travel to take on 3rd ranked JMU. While Delaware has wins over ranked Duquesne and the Spiders, the Dukes have a road win over FBS Virginia Tech to their credit. Pat Bostic and Andrew Pierce will field a potent offense for Delaware, but beware the D of Madison, as it has been playing shit down football in their wins over Tech and Liberty.
I pick: I am going to change my earlier tune and got with the Dukes at home, as Delaware may be battle tested on the road, but this game may test their overall endurance factor.

#6 Villanova at #14 William & Mary
Time: 3:30 (EST)
The Tribe is going to be playing for their very lives against the Wildcats, as they have already fallen in CAA play at UMass earlier this season. A loss for them means also ran status, and a win for Villanova would be another war won, and another step closer to a chance at another title.
I pick: Villanova

#11 North Dakota State at #8 Western Illinois
TIme: 2:00 (EST)
The Bison will have a shot at a signature in in MVC play, but an ealier loss to Northern Iowa (hangover loss after the Kansas win) makes this win a must have. The problem is that they have to go into the devil's den at WIU to get it. No easy task, but not entirely impossible.
I pick: WIU

Furman at Wofford
Time: 1:30 (EST)
The Paladins need the win to put themselves in the best position to keep up with Appalachian State. This is the conference opner for the Terriers, who have won two straight since falling to Ohio in the opener. Look for a real live war here.
I pick: Wofford at home, but Furman is more than capable of winning away from home and performed very nicely in a loss to South Carolina.

#19 Bethune-Cookman at Morgan State
Time: 4:00 (EST)
This is a trp game for the #19 Wildcats, as Morgan State has been winning games on special teams and defense. BCC QB Matt Johnson has been solid this season, but he may find things tough going in Baltimore against a very strong Bears club.
I pick: Bethune-Cookman...great teams find a way to win on the road. This is a great chance to prove how good the Cats are and can be.
