1. LaMichael James, Oregon
James has rushed for 848 yards and 9 TDs despite missing the season opener due to suspension. He has not slowed down, and although the Ducks have this week off, he should push for a 200 yard day against UCLA's leaky front 7 a week from today.
2. Jordan Todman, UConn
UConn has virtually no consistent passing game, but yet Todman still shreds every week. He is the focal point of the offense and has rushed for 152 yards per game and 8 scores, despite missing a game with an injury.
3. Vick Ballard, Mississippi State
He only rushes for 73 yards per game, but I cannot dismiss his 12 TDs on the season. He ran through Houston like they were a dojo wall last week. When he smells endzone, nothing can get in his way.
4. Vai Taua, Nevada
QB Kaepernick gets all of the accolades for the Pack, but Taua is a rushing and scoring machine. Give hime a small hole, and the beast gets loose. He's going for his second consecutive 1000 yard plus season, and should have problem short of major injury getting there.
5. Kendell Hunter, Oklahoma State
Hunter has rushed for 700 yards and 8 scores, and when you consider how much OSU throws the ball, this is a huge accomplishment. He is one of the key components that could drive the Cowboys to a Big 12 South title.
Honorable Mention
John Clay, Wisconsin
DeMarco Murray, Oklahoma
Bryce Beall, Houston
Ronnie Hillman, San Diego State
Daniel Thomas, Kansas State
