FBS MVP Candidates-KR Edition 2

Continuing my focus on speacial teams, here are the best kickoff return guys in the game this season...

Taveon Johnson, New Mexico State
He gets lots of opportunities, as NMSU gives up points like they grow on trees, but he makes the most of his chances. Johnson averages 118 yards per game in kick returns, and is a shining star on a team that does not have many.

Willie McNeal, Western Kentucky
He gets his chances because his team is a mess on defense. That's ok, because it has allowed him to get some well deserved attention here. McNeall gives his chance and teammate Bobby Rainey a chance to work with a shorter field. He averages 111 yards per game in returns.

Jerrel Jernigan, Troy
He has not been a regular return guy, but he has taken one for a score this season. Jernigan averages 37.4 yards every time he takes the ball out of the endzone on returns. Kick it away from him.

Kerwyn Williams, Utah State
He averages 102 yards per game for the struggling Aggies. Not a bad number on a bad football team. Avergaes 25.5 yards per return.

Tandon Doss, Indiana
One of Ben Chappell's favorite targets, and a super dangerous return man. Doss gets 100 yards per game in returns, and is a big yards guy in the passing game too.

Honorable Mention
Eric Stephens, Texas Tech
Demond Washington, Auburn
Derek Good, Colorado State
Jonathon Warzeka, Air Force
Jeff Demps, Florida
