Our list for the FBS MVP at RB for 2010.
Vai Taua, Nevada
Taua leads all RBs in rushing with 928 yards and 9 scores. Unfortunately, the Wolfpack fell upset victin at Hawaii last Saturday night, but a bowl is well within range, even if it won't be a bigger game that can get him more exposure.
Vick Ballard, Mississippi State
Not huge on yards, but he has a nose for the goal line. Ballard leads all FBS backs with 12 rushing TDs. Still a shot to score 20.
LaMichael James, Oregon
James leads all FBS backs with 169 yards per game. He has a major chance to up that total against an incredibly thin front 7 against UCLA tomorrow night in Eugene.
Jordan Todman, UConn
Let's face it, the Huskies aren't going anywhere special, but that doesn;t mean that Todman is not a special back. Without his output of 152 yards per game, the Huskies would be even deeper in the tank than they already are.
Bilal Powell, Louisville
Charlie Strong has worked very hard to bring the Cardinals back to respectability, and that means getting the ball to Powell as often as possible. Despite the setback against Cincinnati last week, Powell is still rushing for almost 150 yards per game and 9 scores.
Kendall Hunter, Oklahoma State
Hunter is part of the OSU offensive trinity this season, and even with reduced carries from last season in Dana Holgorson's pass happy offense, Hunter is still on pace to rush for 1800 yards.
