FBS MVP Candidates-QB Edition 2

Here is the second edition of our QB MVP candidate list. The players are not listed in specific order or ranking, but there are 5 players on this list, plus 5 honorable mention candidates. Enjoy the list. Again, these are players who have meant the most to their teams success, and this is not a popularity contest.

Denard Robinson, Michigan...There is no doubting what Robinson has meant to the Wolverines and Rich Rodriguez. Rumor has it that Rich Rod will be having a statue of Robinson put up in his living room if Michigan makes a top tier bowl game...OK I am starting that rumor, but he should if that happens.

Colin Kaepernick, Nevada...If anyone is having as awesome a season as Robinson is, it's Kaepernick, and most of you east coast people don't know a thing about him. It's not too late to get on the wagon, as he is one of college football's most marketable stars.

Bryant Moniz, Hawaii...Moniz is just the latest in the Hawaii QB factory model catalogue. He leads the nation in pasing yards per game, and Hawaii is still making a move towards a bowl birth. Also make sure to check out his TD/Pick ratio of 15/3.

Ben Chappell, Indiana...He tossed for 480 yards in the loss to Michigan, but had it not been for his arm, the Hoosiers would not have been in the game at all. Unfortunately, IU starts to fade at this time of the year every year, and if that happens, Chappel won't stay on the list.

Dan Persa, Northwestern...The Wildcats are 5-0, and Persa is one of the main reasons for that. Persa is having a terrific first half, and is driving the Cats to a very nice bowl destination right now.

Honorable Mention

Cameron Newton, Auburn
Ryan Colburn, Fresno State
Ricky Stanzi, Iowa
Kellen Moore, Boise State
Brandon Weeden, Oklahoma State
