Here is the latest FBS RB list for MVP of the Bilo College Football Report. Again, this is not a popularity contest, so all 12 conferences are eligible, and these guys mean the most to their respective team success.
1. LaMichael James, Oregon...Despite missing the New Mexico game, James has been a dominant force and is driving the Duck offense to new heights. He is second in the nation in rushing yards per game second only to Denard Robinson, a QB.
2. Jordan Todman, UConn...Todman has been a force as well, despite missing a game due to injury. The Huskies depend heavily on the rushing attack, as the passing game is almost non-existent. If not for Todman, UConn would not still be in a position to compete for the Big East title.
3. Daniel Thomas, Kansas State...Like Todman and UConn, K-State would not be in good shape without the multi-faceted talents of Thomas. It's worth almost 6 yards every time Thomas touches the football out of the backfield.
4. Kendell Hunter, Oklahoma State...As great as Weeden has been at QB, the offense does not function nearly as well without the threat of Hunter coming out of the backfield. Hunter is worth his weight in gold even as a decoy, because you just never know when he is ready to bust the big one.
5. DeMarco Murray, Oklahoma...He is tied for the national lead in rushing TDs with 9, and he is very important to the Sooner offense. OU would be hurting without his 9 scores, as almost every game has been a nail biter, and his scores have meant the difference.
Honorable Mention
Bryce Beall, Houston
Vai Taua, Nevada
Jonathon Franklin, UCLA
John Clay, Wisconsin
Ronnie Hillman, San Diego State
