Quick Hits By Keith Harding 10/4

HOUSTON

WR James Cleveland has been suspended for the Mississippi State Game by Head Coach
Kevin Sumlin for violation of team rules.

MISSOURI
DL Jimmy Burge was cited for drinking intoxicants while operating a vehicle Saturday night.
Burge was under the legal limit and not charged with a DUI.

MICHIGAN STATE
Head Coach Mark Dantonio was released from the Hospital after a blood clot was found
during a routine follow-up exam. Dantonio suffered a heart attack following a victory over
Notre Dame on September 18, 2010. Offensive Coordinator Don Treadwell has served
as Interim Head Coach for the Spartans last two games.

ALABAMA
WR Julio Jones (Bruised Knee) may Saturday’s game vs. South Carolina.

NORTH CAROLINA
DT Greg Elleby tore ACL and MCL in Saturday’s victory over East Carolina. Elleby will miss the rest of the season.

GEORGIA
Fr. LB T.J. Stripling suffered a season ending right knee injury in Saturday’s loss to Colorado.

DELAWARE
QB Pat Devlin (Concussion) as been cleared to play Saturday’s vs. Maine.

APPALACIAN STATE
Appalachian State University will conduct a study to determine if the Football Championship
Subdivision football team and Southern Conference member should join the Football Bowl
Subdivision. University officials take the next 9-12 months to make their decision.

OHIO STATE
QB Terrelle Pryor (Left quadriceps muscle) is expected to play in Saturday’s Game vs. Indiana.
