FBS MVP Candidates-Punt Returns Edition 2

Let's take a look at our special teams MVP performers starting with punt returners...

Cliff Harris, Oregon
As if the Ducks aren't devastating wnough on offense, Harris has taken 3 punts back to payday. Miss the first tackle and he's lights out.

Shaky Smithson, Utah
The Utes are the team that nobody is talking about in the national title hunt, and yet there they are. Smithson is the kind of special return guy that make some folks in Fort Worth very nervous if they kick it to him next month. A real game changer.

Tony Logan, Maryland
With the tougher portion of the Terp schedule coming up, two things matter...heavy defensive pressure, and Logan setting up the Terp offense with awesome field position. He's even taken 2 returns to the house this season.

Patrick Peterson, LSU
He is dangerous in the secondary, and is even more dangerous once he gets his hands on a punt return. 2 scores on the season. He is one of the mest multi-dimensional players in the country.

Jeremy Kerley, TCU
You give up 15 yards of field position every time Kerley touches the ball on a punt return. If you think of it that way, maybe you'll kick it away from him.

Honorable Mention
Greg Reid, Florida State
Keshawn Martin, Michigan State
Michael Holmes, Syracuse
Jamal Miles, Arizona State
Marquise Maze, Alabama
